Want To Check Out What Other Essential Oils Are Available?
If you’d like to compare Wild As The Wind Essential Oils with products from other UK essential oil suppliers, this article will explain how…
Hopefully it will help you find UK essential oil suppliers of comparable standing and quality.
Sadly, not all aromatherapy oils are made equally, Some are less efficacious than others, and some are not what they are made out to be at all…. By reading the rest of this article you will be able to avoid the worst of UK essential oil suppliers online.
As well as reading this article it may also be really helpful to read another article on this website entitled: Best UK Essential Oils, (which is referred to, within Google Search Results as the Ultimate Buyers Guide For The Best UK Essential Oils).
But, the following advice maybe all you need to make the right decisions for you…
Buy Essential Oils
There are many ways in which to buy essential oils these days. As well as buying essential oils from health food shops, pharmacies and even supermarkets, we can also buy essential oils online.
In addition to this, Wild As The Wind has come up with a novel way of buying essential oils… but, more on that later.
First, let’s take a look at pro’s and con’s of the different essential oil buying options…
Buy Essential Oils Online
I have always strongly advised against buying essential oils online unless you are very sure of who you are buying from. And, by being sure I mean there can’t be a shadow of doubt about the vendor.
For this you will need to have sampled the essentials oils in person which you intend to buy online, and also have enough firsthand experience of the vendor to be able to trust them completely.
If you have not sampled the essentials oils and are not personally familiar with the vendor then you are very likely going to waste your money buying essential oils online from a vendor you don’t know.
Read all the reasons why buying essential oils online is a big no-no without sufficient prior knowledge.
Essential Oils UK
If you are going to buy essential oils online, then make sure you buy them in the UK!
It is easy to by duped into buying inauthentic oils from China and elsewhere on platforms like eBay, so these are best avoided.
UK Essential Oils are best located in Google search results, and you will have a better chance of buying good quality UK essential oils if you buy directly from the vendor’s website, rather than from buying platforms. Alongside eBay, Amazon is another sales platform which does not monitor the quality of products being sold on their platform.
Buy Essential Oils Based On Feedback
I love feedback. I ask everybody to write a testimonial about Wild As The Wind Essential Oils. But why wouldn’t I? Wild As The Wind Essential Oils are amazing!
And, all of the Wild As The Wind Essential Oils feedback is totally genuine. But, sadly, this isn’t true of all of the feedback you see, especially on eBay, Etsy and Amazon etc…
Luckily, I think we are getting better at spotting fake feedback. It’s easy on the buying platforms like Etsy, eBay and Amazon, because a quick read of several short reviews will reveal a similarity in style, or a similarity in subject. A lot of spammers don’t have the imagination to say more than a few things about their products and service, so many of their essential oil reviews will be very similar.
Essential oil testimonial which is genuine will be very varied, with distinct differences in style… just like the Wild As The Wind Essential Oil feedback.
Buying Essential Oils
This article starts well, and contains some invaluable information about buying essential oils, which all would do well to heed, particularly where online essential oil purchases are concerned.
But inevitably, the subject eventually turns to the importance of online feedback… which, as any online essential oils shopper knows, is a crucial part of deciding how to spend your hard earned cash… It’s something which needs addressing, however unsavoury…
So, whilst this article begins as an instructive piece on how to buy essential oils, it soon turns into a cautionary tale… which reveals how one dishonest review can contaminate so much good…
UPDATE :: Since publishing this article the only malicious review Wild As The Wind has ever received has been removed from Google. Luckily, there are screenshots of it, so I have been able to publish them here to illustrate an important point I wished to make…
But, the sad reality is that the review would not have been removed if I had not gone public with the issue. The deceptive and malicious feedback featured below had been harming my business for about a year, and so I felt I had no other option than to write about it publicly.
And, of course, I didn’t enjoy writing it, and, needless to say, I have much better things to do with my time, like writing all of the articles to support people in their health journeys, and other positive, uplifting pursuits… But… when needs must…
Malicious & Deceptive Feedback
There are some reviews, however, which are written by real people which are designed to damage the reputation of a business. There are many motivations for this kind of behaviour, and none of them are very nice.
Wild As The Wind has had two such malicious pieces of feedback, but one of them made horrendous false claims, thinking they could get away with it.
Sadly, they have for nearly a year now, because, despite my requests for Google to view the evidence that the review is entirely deceptive Google have said they don’t take any evidence into consideration. And, because Melly Kennedy is a customer of mine she is free to say what she likes. (Melly’s original five star review in which she says FACIAL OIL No. 2 has cleared up her daughter’s Acne is still available on this website.
This is her current review as at Sunday 24 November 2019:
In my response to her husband, at the time of him alerting me his parcel had arrived and the items were smashed, I said this
I assure you you will not be left without the products ordered in time for Christmas.
But, sadly, her husband turned nasty right away…
I have proof, (image below), I provided a full refund, including the postage, even though the products were never returned to me, and could have been perfectly in tact as far as I knew.
I found the abuse so distressing I just wanted the whole thing to go away… sadly that was not to be… My full refund, without requiring proof, earned me a malicious one star review, detailing outright lies, which read like a character assassination.
The comments are unlawful on the grounds of slander and deformation of character, but Google, like all big corporations these days, believe themselves to be above the law… as does Melly Kennedy, it seems.
Melly Kennedy is an unpaid Google review writer (they call them local guides), who enjoys throwing her weight around, if her other reviews are anything to go by.
Here is the proof she is audaciously and maliciously lying about everything.
I am considering my legal position with regards this situation, and use this case to illustrate my point about dishonest reviews without prejudice.
Since publishing this article, the review used to illustrate malicious review writing has been removed from Google. There was no apology given, nor was I informed whether it was a decision made by Google or Melly Kennedy, the malicious, Google approved review writer. It just disappeared without trace within days of this article being published.

Buy UK Essential Oils
If you want to buy UK Essential Oils because you think they will be safe, then think again…
A lot of the dodgy essential oils, which I write about in Essential Oil Adulteration, originate from China and the East, but that doesn’t mean they don’t find their way into the UK in considerable volume.
There are plenty of toxic essential oils in the UK being sold in all kinds of outlets. This includes poorly informed health food shops, gift shops as well as some supermarkets and pharmacies.
When you want to buy UK essential oils the same rules apply as they do online. Only buy UK essential oils from reputable vendors who you know personally. And only buy UK essential oils you have sampled in person.
This is because when you buy UK essential oils without doing this you could be buying UK essential oils straight from an essential oil adulteration facility in China.
Buy Essential Oils From Wild As The Wind
Wild As The Wind was set up in 2017, and is, therefore, a reasonably new business. In an attempt to keep costs down, we sell essential oils at various markets as well as online.
Selling essential oils at markets is a fairly novel approach to supplying essential oils, but it is the most cost efficient way of doing it. This means you can buy Wild As The Wind essential oils very affordably, in the sure knowledge they are of the best quality available.
There is currently two ways to buy Wild As The Wind essential oils online.
Wild As The Wind Essential Oils have been available on Etsy for a couple of years, but, whilst we can carry a good selection on there, the range is still nowhere as comprehensive as it is on the Wild As The Wind Shop Website.
The Wild As The Wind essential oils online shop is also where you can buy all of the other, popular Wild As The Wind products.
Wild As The Wind Essential Oils Online Shop
So, why isn’t the Etsy Shop enough? Why do I need a dedicated Wild As The Wind Essential Oils Online Shop?
The answer is simple.
I don’t have enough control over the following on the Etsy platform:
- Keeping prices as low as possible
- Presentation, especially in the options describing the essential oils (I have to use the word scent instead of aroma)
- Appearance – the shop doesn’t look anything like the Wild As The Wind website
- Some people find the Wild As The Wind Etsy Shop confusing, and a dedicated shop will be easier to use
