Makeup Removal

Shake-Up Makeup Remover Thumbnail

Makeup Removal

The Wild As The Wind Makeup Removal Protocol is very simple. It employs two extremely hardworking ingredients which deliver many benefits to your skin whilst also very effectively removing even waterproof makeup.

These two ingredients are Organic Jojoba Oil and Organic Witch Hazel. This Wild As The Wind Makeup Removal Protocol is not only effective in taking off all oil and water-based makeup, but regular use also can reduce the following…

  • Recurrence of Blackheads
  • Recurrence of Acne
  • Appearance of Ageing
  • Inflammation
  • Healing times for damaged skin
  • Insect bites (It’s the Witch Hazel that does this, and it’s why it’s in our Ultimate Insect Repellent recipe)

***Can also be used for blisters, and as a treatment for dermal eruptions on other parts of the body.

Making Your Makeup Remover

Making your Makeup Remover couldn’t be easier. The two ingredients are mixed as a 50/50 blend – 50% Organic Jojoba and 50% Organic Witch Hazel.

It’s best to make small amounts of remover at a time, but it doesn’t really matter how much you make as long as you keep to the 50:50 ratio.

★★★★★ 5 Star Etsy Review :: A second order for this product requested by my daughter for her birthday – as she loved the first one so much. She said “please get me it again…my skin’s not the same now I’ve run out.” Thank you x

Hazel, Cambridge

Other Benefits Of Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover

Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover also helps with sores & bruises, sunburn and melanoma, redness and swelling, chapped and blistered skin, in-growing hairs, excessive sweating, varicose veins, haemorrhoids irritated scalp, razor burn, mucous membrane inflammation and allergic reactions.

For the treatment of varicose veins and haemorrhoids we advocate adding Frankincense Serata Essential Oil and Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil. Although a little pricey, Helichrysum Essential Oil is the best essential oil for these troublesome conditions.

Since using Wild As The Wind’s facial products, I actually look forward to my skincare routine! The Shake-Up Make-up Remover is efficient at gently taking off waterproof mascara and foundation…if you use a linen cloth for removing the product, no wasteful cotton wool need be used.

Rachel, Milverton, Somerset

Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover For Skincare

Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover is likely to make a considerable difference to the health of your skin, and may even help with the following conditions:

  • Rosacea
  • Acne
  • Psoriasis
  • Eczema
  • Dermatitis

How Does This Makeup Remover Work?

Organic Jojoba Oil and Organic Witch Hazel bring a lot of healing power to our skin, as well as possessing great astringent and deep cleansing capabilities.

Everybody has heard of Organic Jojoba and we are all accustomed to it being referred to as an oil. But, by rights, Organic Jojoba is actually a wax.

Organic Jojoba is not only special for this reason… It also happens to share a practically identical chemistry to that of the sebum of the skin.

Oxidised, hardened sebum that is trapped in our pores is what causes blackheads. (The black colour is not due to dirt, but instead, it’s the colour of the oxidised sebum in the same way oxidised silver goes black.)

But, a daily application of Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover means the  Organic Jojoba Oil, with the assistance of the Organic Witch Hazel, works it’s way into our clogged pores. Once inside, it begins to liquefy the hardened sebum, eventually allowing it to drain naturally from our pores… usually when it’s being encouraged to move during a cleansing or exfoliation session.

The exceptional antioxidant and astringent properties of Organic Witch Hazel also go to work within our pores. Organic Witch Hazel kills the bacteria that lives within them.

Would love to buy some more of your fantastic witch hazel make up remover, however can’t seem to find one on your shop. Many thanks

Sophie, Helston

This is an extremely important action of Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover. The neutralising of pathogenic bacteria within our pores prevents cellular damage that could result in the development of skin cancer over time.

Killing off pathogenic bacteria is one of the reasons this Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover Protocol helps us to heal more quickly, but it also means that the ageing processes, which cause wrinkles and loss of dermal elasticity, are minimised as well.

Organic Witch Hazel Constituents

Polyphenols, gallate esters, and tannins are the active constituents within Organic Witch Hazel.

Organic Witch Hazel & Excess Oil

Tannins are what make Organic Witch Hazel naturally astringent, because Tannins remove excessive oil from our skin.

Organic Witch Hazel & Acne

Organic Witch Hazel is very effective when it comes to Acne!

Because of it’s antibacterial activity, and it’s natural astringency, Organic Witch Hazel may make an ideal natural Acne treatment.

Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover should be part of everyone’s Acne Treatment Regime.

Organic Witch Hazel & Ageing

Witch Hazel really tones and tightens the skin, as well as reducing the appearance of large pores, protecting collagen and skin elasticity, reducing the appearance of scars and discolouration whilst also repairing skin damage.

Organic Witch Hazel & Skin Cancer

The gallate esters make Organic Witch Hazel polyphenolic, which means that it can help to inhibit cell proliferation in cancerous cells. It has been shown to stop mutated cell cycles and induce a process of apoptosis, whereby cancerous cells die off.

*Apoptosis actually means the die off of all aged cells, not just cancer cells.

Naturally antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, Organic Witch Hazel is a free radical scavenger, which helps it to protect us against DNA damage as well as tumour growth.

According to Dr, Axe:

Oxidative stress and free radical damage build up over time from exposure to things like UV light, pollution, a poor diet, stress and so on. Plants like witch hazel that are high in polyphenols are the same kind used to create anti-aging nutritional supplements that slow down disease development by protecting cells.

Organic Jojoba Constituents

Organic Jojoba is packed full of nutrients like Vitamin E and B Complex Vitamins. It also contains lots of EFA’s, (Essential Fatty Acids), making it ideal for every skin type.

Organic Jojoba Oil & Skin Healing

Vitamin E and B Complex Vitamins in Organic Jojoba Oil make it extremely healing for the skin. Blemishes, outbreaks and signs of ageing are all improved by these nutrients.

Organic Jojoba & Skin Conditions

Like Organic Witch Hazel, Organic Jojoba is great for all skin complaints, including acne, rosacea, vitiligo, dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.

Organic Jojoba Reduces Oily Skin

Excellent!

Organic Jojoba Is Antimicrobial

The fact that Jojoba is also antimicrobial alongside Organic Witch Hazel, menas that it’s a great back-up buddy for the big guns!

Organic Jojoba For Anti-Ageing

Organic Jojoba is antioxidant, and rich in EFA’s and vitamins, all of which contribute towards it’s anti-ageing abilities. It is one of the most hydrating carrier oils, which means it can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Using Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover Protocol

Please go to Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover Protocol to read the full usage instructions.

For other applications

Simply apply the mixture to affected areas and massage into the skin. For Acne breakouts… apply at the first sign of a breakout and reapply several times a day. Also apply several times a day for varicose veins and sore and irritated skin conditions.

This Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover  recipe can be applied to prevent in-growing hairs and shaving rashes and to slow bleeding from nicks and cuts. It also prevents bacterial growth and hair follicle infection. And, it even soothes razor burn, and prevents in-growing hairs from forming.

Contraindications

If you have sensitive skin or you do a lot of sun bathing then there’s a very slight chance you will have a mild reaction to Wild As The Wind Makeup Remover & Skin Balm.

For this reason we advise you to do a skin patch test on the soft skin on the underside of your forearm before using this product elsewhere on your body.
