Essential Oils For Postural Tachycardia Syndrome
This article explains the possible causes and symptoms of Postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTs).
POTS is a form of Dysautonomia, which is a disorder of the autonomic nervous system
This article also outlines a number of excellent essential oils for PoTs, or Postural tachycardia syndrome.
Many of the essential oils for Postural tachycardia syndrome are affordable and easy to use. All of the essential oils mentioned in this article are also available from the Wild As The Wind Online Shop.
Why Do We Need To Know About Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS)?
Postural tachycardia syndrome is becoming increasingly common. I am personally aware of several people who have, sadly, experienced Postural tachycardia syndrome in recent months. All of those displaying the tell-tale symptoms of Postural tachycardia syndrome have received at least one, and sometimes several, coronavirus injection(s).
In some instances, those complaining of Postural tachycardia syndrome have received differently branded injections, from alternative manufacturers, when receiving subsequent injections after their initial jab.
Thankfully, there are a number of excellent essential oils for Postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTs). These are listed towards the end of this article.
Different Names For Postural Tachycardia Syndrome
Postural Tachycardia Syndrome has a number of names:
- Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome
- PoTs
- Postural Tachycardia Syndrome
What Is PoTS?
Postural tachycardia syndrome, (aka PoTS) is characterised by an abnormal increase in heart rate which occurs after sitting up from a reclined position, or standing. Typical symptoms include dizziness and fainting, but this condition can also include the following side effects:
- Heart palpitations
- Chest pain
- Shaking and sweating
- Dizziness / lightheadedness
- Breathlessness
- Weakness and fatigue
- Nausea
- Fainting
- Cognitive issues: Memory loss & poor concentration aka brain fog
- Headaches
- Poor sleep
PoTS is a form of Dysautonomia, which is a disorder of the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system regulates the unconscious / automatic functions of our body like heart rate, blood pressure, sweating and temperature regulation.
The proper functioning of the autonomic nervous system is required for the maintenance of our emotional health as well as our physical health. It is comprised of the sympathetic, parasympathetic, and enteric nervous systems
Causes Of PoTs
As mentioned earlier, many people have reported symptoms of PoTs after receiving coronavirus injections. But, sadly, PoTs is not new. It has been with us since the 1940’s.
Robertson, of Vanderbilt autonomic laboratories, at this time, stated it was one of the most common conditions affecting young females.
According to the Cleveland Clinic there are many and varied causes of PoTs, a good number of which point to toxic overload and subsequent infection.
But chemical toxins, and infectious pathogens are not the only forms of toxicity we can be exposed to. Trauma, both physical and emotional, and long-term stress are also profoundly toxic to our systems:
Patients may develop POTS after a viral illness, serious infections, medical illness, pregnancy and trauma such as head injury. The condition may develop as aftermath of a significant illness (especially associated with hospitalization and prolonged immobilization).
*Many pharmaceutical drugs are intentionally very toxic, such as Chemotherapy, and surgical procedures are necessarily traumatic.
Pathology Of PoTs
As with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, which many Dysautonomic sufferers are also afflicted with, it is hard to establish which issues arrive first.
Was it a parasitic, viral or bacterial infection which then caused all of the other symptoms? Or, was it because an individual has Dysautonomia or Mast Cell Activation Syndrome that they suffered an impaired immune system, thereby leaving the door open to infections?
Terrain Theory is an approach to wellness that is at odds with Germ Theory. Western Medicine practices Germ Theory, whereas a lot of Traditional and Complementary forms of medicine practice Terrain Theory.
A Terrain Theory Perspective On PoTs & Dysautonomia
Terrain Theory states that the body is not susceptible to infection unless it has been impaired by it’s terrain becoming corrupted in some way.
There are many ways in which we are exposed to the toxic precursors which undermine the integrity of our bodily terrain… emotional toxicity, relationship toxicity, chemical toxicity, money worries, survival fears, including war and scarcity etc, as well as spiritual confusion etc…
When we are struggling to cope with toxicity levels the systems of our body become overwhelmed. This impairs our immunity, leading to infections and chronic illness… There is a compound effect…
Stress and infections undermine our digestive health.
Our gut is responsible for up to 80% of our natural immunity. So, if our gut health is poor, then our immune system will suffer, leading to long-term illnesses, chronic pain, and mental health issues, many of which are known to be autoimmune in nature.
Autoimmunity
*Autoimmune conditions are explained at length in the article devoted to Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome is often the next stage on from acquiring an autoimmune condition.)
There are a good number of schools of thought within the medical community who advocate that PoTs is an autoimmune condition. Thus, all of the essential oils recommended for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, and other inflammatory disorders will be useful for those with PoTs.
PoTs In A Nutshell
A quick search using ‘Dr. Google’ reveals that there are myriad precursors to Postural Tachycardia Syndrome! Many refer to issues with our central nervous system and digestive health.
*Central nervous system dysregulation is a consequence of stress, whether through pathogenic infection, trauma or long-term emotionally stressful circumstances. Please follow the above links for further information.
Government Website Explanation
The US Government website provides the following information regarding the cause of PoTs:
There are numerous triggers for POTS including viruses, vaccines, and an autoimmune basis. This case report is clinically relevant to better understand the pathophysiology behind the messenger RNA (mRNA) coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine and the mechanism that triggers autonomic nervous system dysfunction. Furthermore, the overall goal of this case study is to report a unique side effect associated with the novel mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. A 42-year-old male, with no prior symptoms of sinus tachycardia and presyncope episodes, is diagnosed with POTS secondary to the first dose of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. Symptoms to this date include sinus tachycardia, dizziness, headaches, and fatigue that are often triggered after a large meal or standing for a longer duration. Numerous diagnostic tests and images failed to confirm any other diagnosis other than POTS. There was a sequential connection between the onset of symptoms approximately one week after taking the first dose of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.

Case Study
As covered in great depth in Food Grade Organic Nigella Sativa Oil For Heart & Lung Health, Kyle Warner, a professional mountain bike rider, and American Champion three times over, developed Pericarditis in 2021. His symptoms were severe, and his recovery slow, but, with the help of Food Grade Organic Nigella Sativa Oil, and a number of other supplements, Kyle has already been cleared of his Pericarditis. Sadly, Kyle continues to suffer from PoTs.
Like so many others, Kyle’s Pericarditis and subsequent PoTs developed soon after his second Pfizer MRNA injection.
Kyle mentions “Black Seed Oil‘, (the common name for Nigella Sativa Oil), 9.00 minutes into his interview with Dr. John Campbell, explaining that Black Seed Oil has been a big factor in supporting his recovery.

Using Essential Oils For Postural Tachycardia Syndrome
Inhalation is the best delivery mechanism for many helpful preparations, whether natural or pharmaceutical, when it comes to assisting those with systemic inflammation / autoimmune conditions, especially with other complications, like PoTs. This is because digestive health is always compromised in those with autoimmune conditions, so drugs taken orally can often fail to be effective due to digestive issues.
Essential oils, when inhaled, are delivered directly into the limbic region of the brain, and take immediate effect. This is particularly important for those with PoTs and neurological conditions.
When essential oils are diluted to the correct concentration in a good carrier oil, and then topically applied, they are also delivered to the site of injury or discomfort without needing to go through compromised digestive processes.
Best Essential Oils For Postural Tachycardia Syndrome
The best essential oils for Postural Tachycardia Syndrome are those that do the following (in no particular order):
- Regulate our heart
- Improve digestive function
- Boost Immunity
- Lower blood pressure
- Reduce histamine levels
- Reduce Inflammation
- Provide central nervous system support
