Organic German Chamomile Aromatherapy Oil Interesting Fact :: This is not so much interesting as it is tragic, but remains an important fact, all the same :: Sadly, German Chamomile plants are often treated with the extremely toxic defoliant Agent Orange, which was used in the Vietnam War, and caused so many issues for the GI’s and native Vietnamese.
It is such a common practice because it makes harvesting the flowers a lot easier. This is why the Wild As The Wind Essential Oils range only includes Organic German Chamomile Essential Oil
German Chamomile Aromatherapy Oil Recipes
Shingles
Combine all of the ingredients in an appropriately sized amber bottle with a cap which creates a proper seal.
Combine with your preferred carrier oil / base oil. (I like Sweet Almond Oil or Organic Argan Oil)
Ingredients ::
- 10 drops German Chamomile Essential Oil
- 5 drops of Geranium Essential Oil
- 5 drops of Bergamot FCF Essential Oil
- 5 drops of Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil
- 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
Application :: Use topically as a poultice
Hair Treatment
Organic German Chamomile Essential Oil can be added to Rosemary Aromatherapy Oil, and Lavender Essential Oil, (2 to 3 drops of each), and blended into a tablespoon of either Safflower Carrier Oil, Grapeseed Carrier Oil, or my favourite, Sweet Almond Oil. This can then be massaged into your hair and scalp once a week, or so. For best results, apply the oil hot and wrap your hair to keep the heat in. Even better results will be achieved if you leave it on overnight.
Allergic Reactions
Warm the Shea Butter a little in a porcelain or glass mixing dish by placing it in a larger bowl of boiling water. Once runny, remove from the boiling water vessel (with gloves) and then add the Raspberry Seed Oil. Stir until blended properly. Then add essential oils.
