Gurjum Essential Oil
Gurjum Essential Oil is also known as Gurjun Essential Oil, and is also referred to as Indian Copaiba Essential Oil. It is a balsamic essential oil and so it’s full title is Gurjum Balsam Essential Oil / Gurjun Balsam Essential Oil
Gurjum Aromatherapy Oil is made using the resin from the tall, slender Gurjum tree. It is prized within perfumery and is used as a fixative, bringing coherence and tenacity to natural aromatic oil blends.
Aromatically, Gurjun Essential Oil is mild, sweet and balsamic, with nutty, woody and slightly camphorous notes.
Gurjun Essential Oil is also considered to be profoundly healing and has been used in Eastern healing traditions, as well as Ayurveda, (from Southern India), for thousands of years.
It is mainly used for respiratory health and soothing discomfort of the skin, but has many other healing benefits besides. It is high in Sesquiterpenoids which are known to be antiviral and antibacterial, but is safe for use with toddlers when properly diluted.
