Shelf Life & Allergy Advice
Wild As The Wind FACIAL OIL No. 2 has a 6 month ‘period after opening’. You can extend this by keeping it in the fridge.
FACIAL OIL No. 2 has been tested on thousands of people and only a small handful, (single figures), have had a reaction to it. Those who had mild reactions to FACIAL OIL No. 2 are, sadly, highly likely to be be hypersensitive due to undiagnosed allergies etc.
The few reactions recorded were all very mild… with everyone reporting an increase in colour to the skin, (pink). There was an increase in temperature in a couple of cases, (warmth).
FACIAL OIL No. 2 & Breastfeeding
The FACIAL OIL No. 2 label states that the use of this face oil during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be halted.
It is true that both Rose Essential Oil and Myrrh Essential Oil have been found to be unsafe for use during all stages of pregnancy and Geranium Essential Oil should be avoided during the first trimester.
However, the advice on the label is only precautionary where breastfeeding is concerned,. This advice only relates to Myrrh Essential Oil on the basis there’s been insufficient research conducted for the experts to determine whether it’s safe to use or not. So the only advice given by the experts is Myrrh Essential Oil should be avoided until sufficient research is done and the results are in.
Whilst Myrrh and Rose Essential Oils are to be avoided during pregnancy, Rose has been tested and is considered safe during breastfeeding.
Skin Problems
Skin health is determined by gut and hormonal health.
Gut problems lead to hormone problems which lead to skin problems.
Acne, Eczema & Psoriasis all have their origins in the gut.

Wild As The Wind use a number of resources when deciding which essential oil formulas to put together for optimal healing and efficacy, as well as to support any health claims we may make.
We use the industry ‘bible’ on essential oil safety: Essential Oil Safety: A Guide for Health Care Professionals [2nd Edition] by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young, to establish the safety of the Wild As The Wind formulations.
We owe a particular debt to GreenMedInfo, and, of course, the teachings of Penny Price and Patricia Davis.
Many of the scientific studies used to inform the claims made on this website are via GreenMedInfo, as well as via Dr. Josh Axe, Ty Bollinger on the Truth About Cancer website as well as, on the odd occasion, Dr. Eric Zielinski
