Energetic Healing Potential Of Gemstones
This article, devoted to gemstone energy, and the energetic healing potential of gemstones, is the first in a series devoted to the healing power of nature.
Each droplet of water contains a crystal, and we are largely made of water. It is unsurprising that gemstones and crystals exert healing benefits on living creatures.
Healing Power Of Nature
Other articles, which focus on other aspects of the healing power of nature, such as mineral baths and swimming in the sea, exposure to negative ions, whether in the Rhodope Mountains in Bulgaria, or at the coast anywhere in the world, as well as forest bathing, or sun bathing, sound healing, or simply grounding ourselves by walking barefoot on the earth etc, will all be listed, when completed, in the introductory article in this series entitled: Nature As Healer Series *An Introduction.
If you enjoy this article then please refer to the Nature As Healer Series *An Introduction to read other articles in the series.
Nature As Healer *Gemstone Energy
The idea that gemstones possess healing energies is a relatively new idea in the West, but this was broadly understood by ancient civilisations, which has informed some of the healing modalities that persist to this day within certain Eastern healing traditions.
This 11 minute video reveals how rudimentary our understanding of gemstone energy is in the West. Typically, this video presentation deals with the commercial application of gemstone frequencies and does not touch upon the healing capacities of gemstones.
This outlook goes a long way towards making us sick.
In Nature As Healer Series *An Introduction I discuss how we, as a species, are largely completely missing the point when it comes to nature, and how we exploit it mercilessly for personal gain instead of honouring it and learning from it. All this must change.
The Healing Energy Of Gemstones
This article is inspired by a talk given by Deborah King devoted to the topic of the vibrational frequencies of gemstones, and how they can be used to balance our energy systems,
improve various mind-body functions, and allow your body to bring itself into balance and wellness.
Deborah King gained her understanding of the unique vibrational qualities of gemstones during her travels in India, and her dedication to learning Ayurvedic Medicine. Ayurveda is an ancient form of preventative medicine, based on the Vedas, or Vedic traditions of India, which is over 5,000 years old. It is practiced to this day, with practitioners concentrated in Southern India, particularly Kerala.
Ayurveda makes good use of the healing powers of gemstones based on the understanding that gemstones and crystals absorb vibrations and light from far away planets and that the light absorbed by these stones can pulsate at a frequency which can heal all that live on earth.
There are also a good number of other traditions within Eastern or Orientl cultures which have been designed to shift energy blocks and restore physical, emotional, soul and spirit health, thereby working on every level of our being.
Yoga, Qi Gong, Thai Chi are just a few of them. But even herbalism and other physical therapies are understood to possess an energetic impact.
It will come as no surprise that Homeopathy is equally popular as Ayurveda in Southern India, the birth place of Ayurveda.
Working With Gemstone Energies
Because humans are conscious we can decide to tune into to the healing capabilities of gemstones, although some unconsciously benefit from the healing frequencies, as do animals and other living creatures, simply because of their proximity to the stones.
When working consciously we don’t even need to have direct contact with the stones themselves. Instead, we can just focus our minds on certain gems to access the vibrational healing they are emitting. Just accessing the image of the stone we want to work with within our minds eye, or focusing on an actual picture of the desired stone, will allow us to access the energetic coding of the depicted gemstones are transmitting.
Hermetic Principles of Vibration
The principle of vibration states that all things manifest in physical matter and spiritual energy, which individually oscillate at a certain frequency.
Basic science tells us atoms are in constant motion, as is the universe itself.
Vibrational Healing
Vibrational healing is energetic healing. All life on earth has an energetic body as well as a physical body. Our energy fields are very much interwoven with our physical bodies. It is now understood that humans store unresolved emotions and trauma in our energetic bodies, which, if it remains unprocessed over time, will have a negative impact on our physical health. Patches of dense unmoving energy in the human energy field will translate into physical manifestations of illness in the associated parts of our physical bodies, if left unprocessed.
Animals are a lot less likely to hold onto trauma. As animals are in their nature at all times, they will instinctually shake off a traumatising incident, thereby eliminating it from their energy fields.
The therapy TRE is a form of energy healing which adopts the animalistic behaviour of shaking off an emotionally damaging incident. This allows those who practice TRE to shake off trauma out of their energy field.
Science has now proven what Eastern Medicine has always known… emotional damage is lodged within our energetic bodies. This idea is fully explored in The Ultimate Cause Of All Illness, which as the title suggests, is the harm done energetically by trauma will make us ill if we don’t figure out how to process it.
Vedic interpretation Of Gemstones
Jyotish, or Vedic astrology, which translates into ‘light, heavenly body’, integrates astronomy and astrology and aligns gemstones with the planets.
Simply put, the light which shines upon us, from the sun or the moon or other heavenly bodies, is what Jyotish studies and explains.
Vedic gems are aligned with planetary influences and affect all aspects of our lives, including the concept of the ‘sattvic feel’ of the Jyotish gemstones. The term sattvic means ‘pure essence’, and so in terms of gemstones it relates to the energetic frequency at which a gem vibrates at.
Vedic Gemstones & Their Influence
Red Coral
Red Coral is aligned to Mars and is imbued with strength and courage which can support emotional and physical endurance.
Couirage is a French word meaning rage of the heart, or passion.
Coeur = heart
Rage = rage
Passion provides stamina and endurance, and the will to persevere.
In many ways Red Coral shares a lot in keeping with Frankincense Essential Oil and Myrrh Essential Oil. These two aromatherapy oils are made from trees which grow in the dessert. From an energetic perspective Frankincense Essential Oil and Myrrh Essential Oil are encoded with the frequencies of stamina and endurance, literally imprinted with the energetic matrix of what it takes to overcome adversity and thrive regardless.
Emerald
The vibration of emerald corresponds with Mercury, which governs communication and our analytical mind.
The frequency of emeralds brings clarity of mind thereby facilitating clear communication skills. Emeralds are a vibrant and intense, verdent green, the colour which is so prevalent in the plant kingdom.
The vibration of Mercury and emeralds invite us to leave our entanglements and attachments behind and enter the flow of life.
Wildcrafted Organic Helichrysum Essential Oil has similar properties.
Wild As The Wind, as well as supplying also supplying an exceptional Wildcrafted Organic Helichrysum Essential Oil, also carry an Organic Helichrysum Essential Oil and an ethically sourced Helichrysum Essential Oil.
On the mental plain this means letting go of anger, jealousy and judgement, and other emotional barbs, or hooks, which keep us attached to places and periods in time as well as people we would have done well to have kept firmly in the past. These attachments are unhealthy in that they anchor us down, lowering our vibration and preventing us from healing.
On the physical plain this means letting go of our bodily addictions, the food and drug barbs which drag our vibration down.
Physical addictions to food are usually compounded by poor gut health, whereas addictions to cigarettes and drugs are different. Cigarettes erect a smokescreen between us and our emotions, and most elicit drugs interfere with mental clarity.
Working with the frequency of emerald can help us disentangle ourselves from addictions and lower vibrational thought forms, leading to a more enlightened outlook.
In addition, remedying gut health can help free us from food addictions, such as sugar and wheat etc, and Black Pepper Essential Oil can really help overcome the cravings to smoke whilst giving up cigarettes.
*Alcohol is partly an addiction to sugar as well as wanting to numb feeling s and mental processes.
Hemp Esseential Oil is often used to support the ‘rehab’ process of eliminating addiction
Yellow Topaz
The frequency of Yellow Topaz aligns with the vibration of Jupiter. Jupiter is a deeply benevolent planet and one which brings the light.
The frequency of Yellow Topaz reveals the connection between Vedic gemstones and the human energy field. Yellow Topaz helps us transmute negative energies into positive energies, assisting us in our efforts to realise our aspirations. It helps to recalibrate energetic blockages which stand in the way of advancement, transforming them into sympathetic energies which help to fuel progress.
Wildcrafted Organic Clary Sage Essential Oil is very aligned with this process.
Jupiter is connected to the vibrational frequency of our Higher Selves… it helps us to receive wisdom and inspiration from our Higher Selves so that we may fulfil our spiritual contracts here on earth. In meeting our spiritual commitments we will increase our energetic vibration also.
Jupiter can teach us discernment as opposed to judgement. It doesn’t ask what is right or wrong, instead it simply reveals what is healthy.
It is the divining rod when it comes to issues of ‘one man’s meat being another man’s poison’, teaching us about the different vibrations of food so that we can see food as Hipocrates saw it, as medicine. These days enlightened thinkers with regards food see it as information, and those that work energetically feel it in terms of healing energetic frequencies.
Certain foods possess energies which are discordant or dissonant for us as individuals. Working with the energy of Yellow Topaz will help us be more discerning about our food choices, helping us to only partake of that which serves us.
In the articles relating to Stress and Inflammation I explain how there’s a lot more than just food which can negatively impact digestive health. Living on a diet of toxic emotions can be disastrous. Being constantly belittled and undervalued by another can be as detrimental as us feeling unworthy, or guilty within ourselves.
Worry, in particular, has a real affinity with our gut. When we worry and fail to trust that everything is as it should be in the Divine plan of it all, then this can seriously negatively impact digestive health.
Also, our gut is very tied to our intuition. If we find certain situations and experiences indigestible then this means it’s time to leave those experiences behind. Yellow Topaz can help us see the light and can help us transmute energies which prevent u from moving on into the energies which will propel us forward.
Diamond
Diamonds are imbued with the energies of Venus, which are all about personal fulfilment and the principle of abundance. This translates into loving relationships and creative expression which bring rewards of many kinds.
The frequency of diamonds connects with the vibration of our hearts, delivering strength and courage.
Diamond is the hardest substance in nature.
Essential Oils which are known for healing the heart are:
Organic Rose Otto Essential Oil and Fragonia Essential Oil are very aligned with healing our hearts.
These essential oils are also thought to support the Heart Chakra.
- Frankincense Essential Oil
- Geranium Essential Oil
- Melissa Essential Oil
- Organic Neroli Essential Oil
- Sandalwood Essential Oil
- Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
The word courage is a french word relating to the heart, or coeur. So, coeur-rage, simply means ‘rage of the heart’, or passion. Thus, diamonds help us to connect with the passion needed to vanquish our fears.
When the fear of not doing something is greater than the fear of doing it, then courage has won the day!
Life is all about choices and expression… the desire to creatively relate to each other… and about relating to ourselves… It is also about relating to our Higher Selves and the Higher Realms and inter-dimensional plains.
The vibration of diamonds is so high it can facilitate psychic connection and telepathic communication.
Working with the invincible energy of Diamonds is a great way to help heal heartbreak. Grief, which metaphysically manifests in the lungs, and heartbreak, are two of the most difficult feelings to work through as they repeatedly threaten to derail us. Whether we are grieving and are heartbroken over another, or due to the loss of a dream, Diamond energy can help to restore our will to overcome.
Blue Sapphire
Blue Sapphire is known as the stone of wisdom. It is aligned with the planet Saturn.
This beautiful planet encompassed by rings, is a slow-transiting planet which means it has long lasting effects.
The rings around Saturn are more solid than they appear. They are made up of pieces of comets, asteroids and shattered moons, which shattered on contact with the full force of Saturn’s powerful gravity, before they reached the planet. Somewhat unsurprisingly the energy of Saturn is all about maintaining integrity and withstanding life’s vicissitudes.
The energy of Blue Sapphire is all about strengthening focus and providing the integrity needed to exert self-discipline.
Ruby
Rubies vibrate with the frequency of the sun, which is the king of Vedic astrology. It is also the planet of life force, which represents soul and spirit, the unseen without which there would be no life.
Rubies are all about personal empowerment and manifest energies… the male ‘active’ principle. The sun’s energy burns off all that would obscure clear vision and insight. It has an annealing effect, reducing inflexibility and eliminating internal stresses.
Pearl
Pearls vibrate with the peaceful, reflective frequency of the moon.
The moon governs the tides and the ebbs and flows of life. It initiates our losses and rebirths. It also affects female cycles. Although the closest celestial body to the earth it remains subtle, and elusive. It governs the subconscious mind and inner self.
The vibration of Pearls deliver the wisdom of the Higher Realms, which invite us to find mastery over our emotions, whispering acceptance and forgiveness.
I used to wear a pearl ring when I lived in India, as so many Indians do… for the peace it brings.
Other Gemstones
Cavansite
Cavansite is all about forgiveness, and for remaining true no matter the confusion around you. It counsels us to look within for the the answers.
This is a particularly relevant stone for the present time. We are being consistently lied to by the media and our governments, and there’s a lot of fear and confusion around what is happening. Cavansite can help us to look within for the truth.
Cavansite is a very rare stone which can only be found in one cave in Poona in India.
Shungite
Shungite is another really important stone for the present time. It is a carbon-rich stone, containing crystalline fullerenes, which help to reduce inflammation, and the damaging effects of oxidative stress and EMF exposure. It is also used to purify water and relieve emotional stress.
I use Noble, Elite Shungite to recalibrate my drinking water, leaving the water to stand with the Shungite inside for three days before beginning to consume it.
Some believe that Shungite is the result of a meteorite landing on earth over two billion years ago
Moldavite
Moldavite is, most definitely, the result of a meteorite landing on earth 15 million years ago. It is a deeply transformational stone which can initiate awakenings and epiphanies.
Moldavite is known in Czech, where it is found, as Vltavín.
Unlike Shungite, which is a carbon, Moldavite is a vitreous silica projectile rock. It is a type of tektite
Buying Gemstones In The UK
There are many people selling gemstones in the UK. But not all of the stones being sold are genuine. This is particularly true of Shungite, and other rare stones.
It is also true of some of the more expensive gemstones and precious stones.
Gaia Earth is a UK based supplier of healing crystals.
Gaia Earth sell large healing gemstones for therapeutic use, and are atrusted supplier.
Wild As The Wind do not obtain any financial benefit for mentioning Gaia Earth.
