Inflammatory Pain & Pain Relief

August 19, 2019 By Rachel Wild Leave a Comment

Essential Oils UK

This article is a companion piece to Inflammation Causes All Illness :: Here’s What You Need To Do

It details the causes of inflammatory pain and which natural protocols we can employ to alleviate our suffering.

It also explains how we can reverse the root causes of inflammatory pain so that we can live pain-free lives without depending on any form of medication, whether of natural origins or pharmaceutical, for our pain management.

Inflammatory Pain

Chronic pain is the most common cause of long-term disability.

An estimated 17.8 million people live with a musculoskeletal condition in the UK.

This equates to around 28.9% of the total population living in pain.

That’s 2.7 million under 35 years of age, 9.1 million aged 35 to 64 years and 6.0 million over 65…

Inflammatory Conditions

Over 400,000 people have rheumatoid arthritis.

12,000 children have juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

200,000 people have ankylosing spondylitis.

1.5 million people have gout.

*All of the above statistics relate to the UK  only, and are not reflective of the rest of the world.

Conditions Of Musculoskeletal Pain

Over 8.75 million people aged 45 and over have sought treatment for osteoarthritis.

Up to 2.8 million people in the UK have fibromyalgia.

10 million people in England and Scotland alone have persistent back pain.

*Back pain can be caused by leaky gut, or gut permeability… but, more on this later.

*There is also a strong case for fibromyalgia and arthritis, both autoimmune conditions, also being caused by leaky gut.

Joint Pain

There are many conditions which cause joint pain. Most of these are autoimmune in nature and therefore have an inflammatory component.

Oxidative Stress

Oxidative Stress is one of the leading causes of inflammation.

Oxidative Stress is essentially caused by the body’s inability to detoxify free radicals. So, when these free radicals build up, due to insufficient antioxidants, oxidative stress occurs.

Oxidative stress is an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants in your body. Free radicals are oxygen-containing molecules with an uneven number of electrons. The uneven number allows them to easily react with other molecules. Free radicals can cause large chain chemical reactions in your body because they react so easily with other molecules. These reactions are called oxidation. They can be beneficial or harmful.

Antioxidants are molecules that can donate an electron to a free radical without making themselves unstable. This causes the free radical to stabilize and become less reactive.

Healthline

In order to combat oxidative stress we can increase our antioxidant food intake in the form of colourful vegetables, attempting to put every colour of vegetable on our plate for all of our major meals.

Taking an antioxidant supplement might also help…

Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil is profoundly antioxidant, but there are several other aromatherapy oils which are equally antioxidant. Organic Grapefruit Essential Oil being another.

***There is a strong connection between inflammation / autoimmune conditions and mould, which causes mycotioxicity and/or fungal infections etc. Learn more about this issue in Mould Is A Super-Toxin.

Diagnosing Pain

Modern medicine likes to give lots of different names to groups of symptoms. This makes it very straightforward when it comes to filling out a prescription. Practically every diagnosis of a specific condition has a drug protocol attached to it.

The process leading to a diagnosis and then to a drug protocol makes very good economic sense. It means that pharmaceutical companies, (often collectively referred to as Big Pharma), are some of the wealthiest corporations on the planet … I guess that’s where the ‘Big’ in Big Pharma comes from…?

There’s a few diagnoses for differing forms of arthritis and rheumatism, but because all inflammatory conditions respond equally as well to Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation all we need to know is if the pain is from an inflammatory source or not. If it is then Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation by Wild As The Wind will help.

A friend told me about your oil after she visited your stall in Wells, I believe. I have been in pain for weeks and I tried this oil [Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation] – active constituent: Frankincense Serata Essential Oil ] and it relieved and took down the swelling in my hand. So I am happy to give you feed back.

Many thanks.

Kathleen, Sheffield

Essential Oils & Pain

This study found a significant positive effect of aromatherapy in reducing pain. These results indicate that aromatherapy should be considered a safe addition to current pain management procedures as no adverse effects were reported in any of the included studies. Additionally, the cost associated with aromatherapy is far less than the cost associated with standard pain management treatment. Although the present meta-analysis indicates a large positive effect for the use of aromatherapy for pain management, the sample size is small. Given the prevalence of aromatherapy, more research is necessary to fully understand clinical applications for its use.

Leaky Gut & Lower Back Pain

Leaky gut causes lower back pain in the small of the back. It is the consequence of the tight junctions in the gut becoming less tight, allowing undigested food and toxins to escape the gut and enter the blood stream.

Having undigested food and toxins in the blood is not good. It causes an immune reaction that causes inflammation.

The undigested food and toxins can ultimately transgress the blood-brain barrier and make us feel rotten. We become forgetful and suffer from brain fog.

If your lower back pain is accompanied by digestion problems and brain fog you may have leaky gut.

Causes Of Leaky Gut

Leaky gut is usually caused by food intolerances, particularly to grains like wheat.

Gluten containing grains like wheat, barley, oats and rye can have a catastrophic affect on the gut. They prompt the body to release something called Zonulin which opens the tight junctions of the gut.

Why Haven’t We Heard Of Leaky Gut?

Unfortunately, leaky gut is not a condition that is broadly acknowledged by modern medicine. This is likely due to the fact that if the causes of leaky gut were acknowledged then a clear case would exist for a dietary protocol to be applied as the treatment for the condition.

Big Pharma has extremely tight control of modern medicine, and because dietary protocols cannot be patented the drug industry has a vested interest in quashing the idea of leaky gut and continuing to dispense gut destroying pain relieving drugs.

If you are in any doubt about the egregiously profiteering motive behind Big Pharma, then this article will set you straight :: Big Pharma CEO: ‘We’re in Business of Shareholder Profit, Not Helping The Sick’

Other Causes Of Leaky Gut

There are two kinds of milk. The old kind, A2 comes from very old breeds of cows, like Guernsey and Jersey cows. A1 milk comes from newer varieties of cows, like the black and white Friesians.

Friesians have been heavily bred to be more productive. Tragically, as a consequence their lives have generally been reduced to a ¼ of what it once was, and the burden of carrying up to 11 times more milk than normal has devastating effects on this breed of poor cows.

A1 milk can cause major problems when consumed by humans. But it’s the fact that this milk, which is 40% mucus, is heavily homogenised and pasteurised that this form of milk is potentially deathly.

The pasteurisation means that all of the beneficial bacteria and other nutrients designed to aid the digestion of the milk are destroyed. And, the homogenisation of the milk means that the molecules inside the milk are made small enough to leak through the gut lining and left to enter the blood supply.

Healing Leaky Gut

There are several things you can do to heal a leaky gut, which in turn will make other, long term, conditions disappear also. There is no need for us to be in chronic pain in most instances, unless permanent damage has been sustained.

I have already written about the various protocols that can cure Leaky Gut in 30 days within the exhaustive Gut Health article on this website, so I won’t repeat it here..

Inflammatory Relief

Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation by Wild As The Wind can provide relief for inflammatory conditions, but if there’s no inflammation then other Essential Oils need to be considered.

Frankincense Essential Oil, one of the two key components in Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation is excellent for inflammation, but other essential oils are recommended for different types of pain… I list several of them later on in this article.

Frankincense Essential Oil As An Anti-Inflammatory

Frankincense Serata Essential Oil has immense abilities to offer relief because of it’s anti-inflammatory properties.

Wild As The Wind offers more than one Frankincense Essential Oils, but it’s Frankincense Serata Essential Oil which is best for inflammatory conditions. It is one of the two key constituents in Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation.

Testimonial

★★★★★ 5 Star Etsy Review: Pain and swellings have gone thanks to this miracle oil [Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation]. The help from shop owner is amazing and I wish we could have these oils on NHS. I highly recommend this seller for her skill and knowledge and will purchase more items in the future.

GH, Etsy

Frankincense Serata Essential Oil will always provide relief for inflammatory conditions. However, pain from permanent damage will not be relieved.

Surgical shortening of tissue, tendons, muscle and ligaments can be critical factors influencing pain levels, in addition to the inflammation these conditions attract.

[I] purchased frankincense oil from you at Wells Market and I have to say it is the best I have ever come across…so thanks…

Jane, UK

Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation

Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation is often referred to as Easy Peasy Oil or Inflammatory Pain Oil by the people who use it. It is also referred to as Miracle Oil.

Frankincense & St John’s Wort Preparation contains three anti-inflammatory ingredients…

  • St John’s Wort (Macerated in Sunflower Oil 1:5)
  • Frankincense Serata Essential Oil
  • Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Essential Oils For Pain Relief

Quite a few essential oils have been proven to provide pain relief according to peer reviewed clinical research. Evidence of this can be found in many paces on the internet, but none more so than GreenMedInfo.

Lavender Essential Oil & Pain Relief

Ravensara Essential Oil is great for non-specific pain, just as much as Frankincense Serata is great for inflammatory pain, but when it comes to headaches and migraines there’s nothing better than Lavender Essential Oil

However, due to the modern Western diet and increasing levels of pollution etc, the incidence of headaches and migraines with an inflammatory component are really on the rise.

Frankincense Serata Essential Oil & Pain Relief

Frankincense Serata Essential Oil is excellent for migraines if there’s an inflammatory component.

On a recent mini break around the Bath area I was suffering from a bad migraine which I just could not get a handle on. Luckily we came across the beautiful Wells Market… [where] I met Rachel. When I approached her I was really unwell. The pain was as severe as I ever experienced. Thankfully Rachel got me to inhale Frankincense [Essential Oil]. Within a few minutes I was pain free and ready to enjoy the remainder of my trip.

When it comes to burns, however, Lavender Essential Oil stands alone. It takes the pain out of really severe burns and will even prevent a blister from forming, which really minimises any scarring.

Burns also take less than half the time to heal if you are using Lavender Essential Oil.

Copaiba Essential Oil

Copaiba Essential Oil is having excellent results for people with both acutely painful and chronic inflammatory pain. The feedback Wild As The Wind get of this exceptionally healing oil is outstanding.

Read Copaiba Essential Oil Reviews for more insights, but please note customer feedback does not constitute scientific validation of efficacy.

Wild As the Wind carry a very high grade Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil which is approximately a quarter of the cost of Copaiba Essential Oil from certain multi-level marketing (MLM) essential oil suppliers.

Hemp Essential Oil (CBD)

Hemp Essential Oil contains CBD, which is excellent for pain relief.

Hemp Essential Oil can be used for accidental injury…

Since taking Hemp Essential Oil daily I have noticed a huge difference in my sleep. I find it easier to go off to sleep and I no longer wake in the night for hours at a time. It has also eased pain in my arm caused by weight training.

Ben, Temple Cloud

Hemp Essential Oil can be used for auto-immune conditions.

I initially started taking Hemp essential oil every day to help with the pain in my hands. My knuckles [used to] swell up and I found everyday things to be a struggle. Since taking the oil the pain has definitely eased enormously.

Mike, Bristol

Ravensara Essential Oil & Pain Relief

Ravensara Essential Oil is better for acute types of profound pain. I would use Ravensara Essential Oil for relieving things like tooth aches and ear aches etc…

Clove Essential Oil is also excellent for toothache.

Ginger Essential Oil

According to an article in GreenMedInfo.com, (link at the end of this article)…

A 2009 study found that ginger was effective as ibuprofen for pain symptoms associated with difficult menstrual cycles (dysmenorrhea).

Ginger Essential Oil is being touted as being really effective for pain relief at the moment. It’s not my favourite, but it definitely has value.

I also like Clary Sage Essential Oil for the easing of menstrual symptoms.

Arnica Oil

Arnica oil isn’t an essential oil, but it IS excellent for pain relief. Known more for it’s ability to reduce and heal bruising, this immensely pain relieving oil is a God-send when you stub your toe or hammer your finger instead of the nail.

My own personal experience of the amazing pain relieving ability of Arnica Oil is when a rat trap snapped shut on one of my finger tips. The pain was so bad I nearly fainted. Somehow I found the presence of mind to head straight for my Arnica Oil.

Within moments my pain was bearable, and within about 30 seconds the pain was GONE!

BUY BUTTON

I was amazed. I just stood there staring at my throbbing painless finger. Incredible!

And, instead of a blacked nail, a small brownish coloured fleck, (smaller than most ‘calcium spots’) appeared, and then grew out eventually.

Nigella Sativa

Nigella Sativa has also been shown to offer pain relieving benefits in clinical trials. Please follow the link provided for more details.

The Best Thing About Natural Pain Relief?

Thankfully, essential oils and Arnica Oil are nothing like the gut destroying pain relieving, over the counter drugs, which can cause organ damage, promote the development of allergies and often cause us to gain weight.

Essential Oils Cannot Help With Permanent Injury

The body is a self-healing and self-regulating system. All we need to do is nourish it properly and avoid inflicting toxic harm and it will be able to heal itself from all non-permanent conditions, including chronic inflammation…

*The body cannot heal if permanent damage has occurred, but permanent damage is a lot rarer than we think. Accidents cause permanent damage, but many conditions which are considered permanent like neuro-degenerative disorders such as Autism, Alzheimer’s and Dementia can be reversed with the correct interventions, (improved diet and natural anti-inflammatories etc).

These conditions, sadly, inflict permanent damage the longer we suffer from them… this means if we have suffered from these kinds of conditions for many years there will be some permanent damage caused.
